Vibrantly colored, delicious tasting citrus fruit is a true savior during winter’s gray, cold days 🍊🍋
These fruits do more than taste yummy: They’re also good for your health. Oranges, lemons, grapefruits and other citrus fruits are a great source of vitamin C.
Citrus fruits also provide folate, potassium and fiber, according to Children’s Health of Orange County (CHOC). Plus, they contain flavanoids, which may have anti-cancer properties, says the Mayo Clinic. They’re fat-free, low in calories and super hydrating, to boot!
Enjoy a simple orange or grapefruit juice or try this Triple Citrus Zinger juice recipe:
1 orange
1 ruby grapefruit
1 lemon
2 slices of a pineapple
1 celery stick
1 knob (1/2 inch/1 cm) of ginger
